Alistair’s Memoir: Party

A legible page fragment, written in Common

My love Allison,

I’ve finally made my choice, though I fear it may have been the wrong one. Rovin, Dagryn, Annabeth, they all made it. Maybe he can do good. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t trust him, in any way shape or form. Given the chance I would have blown that mask off myself had he not saved my life. I’ve spent enough time alone, I want to see my friends again.

That being said, it still uncertain if he will hold his end of the bargain. I know much of this letter not might make sense to you right now, but i promise I will clarify in future letters. I need to get my thoughts out onto paper, and I need to make sure he is true. If this letter goes through to you, please send back your lullaby you would sing to Diana, to make sure its really you.

If this truly works, Then I’ll know I made the right choice.

He’s has been making quick work of your arrival. I know extracting souls from another god’s domain is difficult, but I’ve been preparing this living space accordingly. Its small for now of course and maybe a little maze like but I need to be ready for anything in these halls. Were a party we’re supposed to test pass through, I have to be on alert.

On that note, he’s been visiting more frequently, checking up and sitting with me. When the party can’t gather together, often times he’ll visit on his own. He tells me of the “endless possibilities” our deal truly has and that you are just the start! Trevor, Diana, Rose, we can all be together

Once you’re all through, maybe we can be a family again.

Alistair’s Memoir: Loss

My love Allison

We have been apart for too long. My nights have been sleepless without you, even with my newfound family and friends. You were always the one to reassure me at my lowest before the end. We may speak only in letters, but I know your writing is true. I suppose I should update you of the current tidings.

Rovin is gone, thought the party and I have long known he was deteriorating, he refused to stop. I saw each time he went out how it pained him, I offered to take his place, but, that dam tiefling. “If I don’t come back, you know he’s been lying.” Each time, every single party we’ve tested that same line.

What made Faerûn special?
