I knew the assimilation would hurt, I knew I would feel their tendrils reaching into my mind, ripping it to shreds, and yet in my pain I see the beauty of entropy. My old mind would have rejected this, yet as the mantle was placed upon me I knew its purpose, I knew its undying goal. True freedom.
